fashion · interior · restaurant & bar · resort

77 Leyn Baan is a private residence located within Galle Fort on Sri Lanka’s southern coast. The fort was originally constructed by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively fortified by the Dutch from 1649 onward. It remains a continuously inhabited historic settlement with a multi-ethnic population.

The interior was designed by Annika Fernando. Original walls were retained in their aged state, with contemporary elements introduced selectively. The interior references the fort’s Dutch colonial proportions while accommodating a collection of Sri Lankan contemporary art.

The house is the private residence of Kumar Sangakkara.
