CEYLON is a long-term photographic body of work made across Sri Lanka between 2008 and 2024.

The series moves between landscape, architecture, ritual, and daily life — not as documentation, but as quiet observation. These images are shaped by time spent returning to the same places, watching light shift, and allowing moments to settle rather than unfold.

The work is rooted in memory and geography. Hills, temples, coastlines, villages, and human presence appear not as subjects to be explained, but as forms held in balance — where stillness, labour, devotion, and erosion coexist.

CEYLON is not intended as a narrative of place, but as a sequence of pauses. Each photograph stands on its own, while remaining part of a wider rhythm formed over years of looking, waiting, and returning.

All works in the CEYLON series are produced as fine art archival prints, printed to order using museum-grade materials.

Prints are produced in Sri Lanka using 12-colour archival pigment inks, carefully prepared and checked for tonal accuracy and consistency. Each print is handled and finished by hand prior to dispatch.

Two paper options are available:
Pro Premium Archival Matte, offering a smooth, neutral matte surface with excellent tonal control, and Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a 100% cotton fine art paper with a soft matte finish and exceptional archival longevity.

All prints include a Studio SDS Certificate of Authenticity and a printed artist signature. Prints produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag also include the official Hahnemühle Certificate with hologram seal.

Prints are available in three sizes only and are shipped rolled in acid-free archival tissue, packed in reinforced tubes, and dispatched directly from Sri Lanka with tracked international shipping.
